Elie Gibran Abou Jaoude never stopped pursuing his dreams and goals, despite all odds and no matter the circumstances.

HIS NEXT ENDEAVOR WAS
TO BUILD THE ABOU JAOUDE
SUPERMARKET IN 1970

which was the most preeminent, voluminous and state-of-the-art supermarket in West Africa.

AGED ONLY 15,
HE LEFT LEBANON
FOR AFRICA IN 1948

to join his brothers. He created his business known as AJA (The Abi Jaoudi and Azar Trading Corporation) in 1953 with his cousins, the Azar family. His company then became the exclusive importer and distributor of premium brands in Liberia in 1968.

HE GOT BACK TO LEBANON IN
1982 AND BUILT THE SAINT
ELIE CENTER IN ANTELIAS

which as an iconic landmark to this day. He then started investing in real estate and development in his native country. In 1997, he appointed each of his sons as Managing Director of one of his companies, while remaining at the head of the Group until his death in 2015.

Passed away on the 12th of March 2015, at the age of 82. He led a lifetime of hard work and dedication, marking his family, friends and followers who still look up to him and praise his numerous achievements.
